Verity Law PLC

Estate Planning

Verity Law advises and assists clients with issues in three primary areas: estate planning and administration; gift planning; family and closely held business administration and transition planning.  Jay Rosloniec relies upon his years of experience in these areas and his knowledge of tax law to provide clients with creative solutions to the complex issues involved in these areas.

Verity Law works closely with each client to develop a complete understanding of the client's goals and priorities, the dynamics of the client's family, the client's charitable interests, and the legacy that the client wants to secure. With this understanding, we provide estate planning recommendations that satisfy the client's objectives, and prepare the documentation necessary to implement the recommendations. As a corollary to the estate planning process, we provide counsel to surviving spouses and surviving children relating to administration of estates and trusts and transition of property to beneficiaries.  In addition to planning for post-death administration we assist clients in planning for the orderly administration of their affairs and determination of their medical care in the event that they are disabled.

Verity Law is experienced at providing counsel to clients who own controlling interests in businesses. We work with these clients to ensure that an effective transition plan is in place so that the business may be continued by family members, employees, or others, and so that the financial value and the legacy of the business may be maximized and maintained.

Verity Law recognizes that families often need to develop a gifting plan that maximizes the benefits of their estate plan and accomplishes their goals and priorities. This planning often involves income tax issues, transfer tax issues and requires an evaluation of family and charitable goals and priorities. We assist clients in the design and implementation of a gifting plan, utilizing techniques such as 529 Plans and children's trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, grantor retained annuity trust, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, private foundations, and donor advised funds.
